Would anyone feel comfortable discussing the choice in favor of the Uniformed Services University over civilian universities?

If you are intending to serve it is the way to go. No medical student debt, excellent training and instructors.

The people who help us be all that we can be and NOT lesser caliber schools. And public perception not like the 70s, early 80s.

Depends on your goals. It’s paid for so you graduate debt free. Backside is you have a service obligation. Financially. Are you better off having debt and no service obligation, allowing you to earn Civilian money quicker? Hard to say.
If you want a career, then it’s a great way to go.
Quality wise, toss up. Some civilian institutions are better. Some worse.

Thank you for answering, sir LTC (Join to see) I want a long enduring career as a military doctor and an advocate for the best healthcare for servicemen and women, veterans and our civilian allies.
