After what seemed like a long wait, my conditional release from the Navy to apply for WOCS, MOS 153A, had been denied in accordance with NAVADMIN 288/17. Its a little disappointing but, I'll continue to do what I need to do to be successful with my career and try again a little later down the road.

SSG, the NAVADMIN states no early separations at this time. I'm going to call my enlisted community manager on Monday and see if there is any advice on resubmitting.

You can put in for an exception to policy. I did after mine was denied and the ETP was approved. I was just selected for 153A this month.

PO2 (Join to see) awesome. when I get in tomorrow morning I'll send you what I submitted. Keep in mind when you submit this ETP you are trying convince the admiral at NPC to say yes. So the more quality ammo you can provide the better. I submitted multiple LORs with people backing me, as well as my SIFT score and a brief of all the work I had done so far to get me ready for this board. Basically making him see that I have busted my ass for this.
