...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR
EAST CENTRAL KERR...GILLESPIE AND NORTHWESTERN KENDALL COUNTIES...

At 656 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding of low
water crossings along Highway 16 southwest of Fredericksburg. Flash
flooding was also occurring in some low water crossings in
Fredericksburg. A widespread 1 to 3 inches of rain fell across the
warned area. Despite rain ending, it will take additional time for
flood waters to recede in some low water crossings.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, Old Tunnel State Park, Bankersmith, Wolf
Creek and Bear Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
