I have an interview on Thursday with the office in Cincinnati. Does anyone here have any advise, tips, or can share their experience working there? Thank you.

Generally, Government interviews are conducted using a PAR or PARL format. Problem, Action, Results and Lessons Learned. Most often done in a situational questions, ie. "Give me an example where you ran into a difficult customer and how did you resolve the issue"?
Take a moment to formulate your answer and deliver smoothly. Do not wonder and do not give more information than needed to answer the question.
Remember, these people are not your buddies (yet), keep it professional but smile and attempt to pick up on the atmosphere. Watch your humor, many people do not get military humor.

Government hiring officials want optimism, vigor, ability to deal well with others, and energy. Come in motivated and know your technical stuff for the job. Be prepared for month long wait after the interview at best. Good luck!

With any government job, be aware of the duty description on the job announcement. Make sure you highlight how your skills and training fit the job and the agency's mission.

If they use the standard Performance Based Evaluation technique to interview, be ready to tell specific stories related to your work background, work with coworkers, adapting to change and difficult demands, etc. Be specific and 'get to the point' quickly...
