Job Description

Summary/Objective:
Warehouse manager facilitates day to day operations of the warehouse team. Coordinate order processing, shipping, receiving and inventory control. This position also communicates with external customers and vendors in areas necessary to achieve desired results.


Essential Functions:

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures for all inventory including company tools and vehicles.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Maintains physical condition of vehicles by coordinating repairs, inspections, safety, GPS installation via
Fleetmatics, location via Fleetmatics and key control.
• Achieves financial objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Maintains warehouse staff by training employees.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Contributes to team effort by partnering with other departments to make inventory readily available for current and future job sites.

Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.


Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salaried position. Days and hours of work vary.


Travel:
Job Sites can be located in multiple locations and out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.


Required Education and Experience:
1. Licenses: Current Driver’s License and must have own reliable transportation.
2. High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.
3. 1-3 years of Warehouse or Inventory management


Preferred Education and Experience:
1. Product inventory processes

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
1. Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
2. May require Background Check
3. Will require MVR check and compliance with Company Safe Driving Policy
