Yes indeed when the Pharisees attempted to trick the incarnate Son Of God by asking HIM what was the greatest commandment HE told them in plan and simple language. [Matthew 22:36-40]
We demonstrate our love for God who we cannot see by loving those around us - our neighbors.
The Pharisees asked who is our neighbor and Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan which infuriated the Pharisees because the Samaritans were arch enemies of the children of Judah and Benjamin.
When we who are the adopted children of God love our neighbors as ourselves we demonstrate the Love of God to any with eyes to see the truth.
Praise the LORD and Glory to HIS Name.

Matthew 22:36-40 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
