I would suggest to anyone who is eligible to get their LEOSA credentials. It beats having to pay for a pistol permit every year.

True. Another critical item that everyone needs to have on your agenda is to vote in our election this November. Your gun rights are at risk and one needs to both understand the rights under our Constitution as it is written versus the various interpretations floating around political circles. Once rights are removed or taken away you have little chance to get them back.

Don't you have to do a year and show the qualification military organization active duty or National Guard or one of your local authorities

I’m not sure what you mean by doing a year. You have to have served at least 10 years as an MP and either were honorably discharged or separated. The requirements change from time to time. I’ve had mine a little over a year. These are federal credentials and it saves you money having to get a new card every year.

Your leosa has to be backed up by the state of residence. And the cost of taking the range exam varies from state-to-state

Yes! If your state requires you to qualify with the pistol or you have to have a pistol safety course you must take it. My state requires neither. My LEOSA has an indefinite expiration date.
