"Preparing the Way!" — "Healing Through Faith!" — Warriors for Life (WFL) Virtual Group Support!

https://www.victoryforveterans.org/post/preparing-the-way-healing-through-faith-warriors-for-life-wfl-virtual-group-support

Come and join Veteran SGT Steve McFarland for Tonight's "Healing Through Faith" addition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Virtual Group Support Community Services brought to you by Victory for Veterans (VFV).

TONIGHT's Topic: "Preparing the Way!"

When John the Baptist arrived on the scene, God had been silent for over four hundred years. The penultimate Old Testament prophet was Malachi who had written over four hundred years earlier. He closed out his prophesy with the promise of one more prophet who would be the forerunner of the Messiah, the Christ.

John came as a forerunner of Jesus Christ to bear witness of His coming. He announced the coming of Jesus Christ much as a herald would announce the imminent arrival of a king. He was foretold by Isaiah and Malachi.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
“Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make straight in the desert
A highway for our God. (Isaiah 40:3)

"Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 3:1)

We are also called to be messengers to prepare the way of the Lord, but unlike John, we are to call people to be prepared for the King's second-coming. The King has come, and the King is coming again.

Was there ever a more dangerous, scarier, lonelier job than Point Man?

.........and how about a door Gunner on the lead chopper going into a hot LZ and then return to that LZ, jump out of your chopper without a weapon in the middle of a firefighter to carry out the dead and severally wounded dodging enemy fire as you stuff body parts back into the hero you are carrying in your arms, both of you covered in blood and you telling him he will be ok not knowing if you are going to be dead in a second. No one can ever tell me there wasn't a Gracious GOD protecting us who still had to full fill HIS will and call home those who have served HIM well. May GOD bless all of you who endured those death defying , scary and nerve racking moments and those who are living in HIS Kingdom. May GOD bless all of our Brothers who served our Country with honor, dignity, bravery and love of your fellow soldiers.

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D - While the time of our departure is known only to God, it isn't random.

None that I ever encountered, being out front 15 meters in jungle that you can see no further than 10 - 15 meters is unnerving at best, adrenaline pumping faster than a fire hose.
