House Plants can help de-stress some people because of their soothing greenness - a recognized calming color (thank you, God Creator! Good choice of color for many of the “grasses of the earth”).
Even for the “I kill every plant I own” people, there are easy kinds that pretty much don’t need a lot of your attention—like Swedish ivy, philodendron and asparagus fern. Water only once a week, mild light. Very non-demanding company. Lol
They are nice especially by a work area, kitchen, coffee nook or bedroom.

Yes, good advice Ann. It's starting to get better for working outside and the sunny days are very good for all of us.

Sgt (Join to see) The lady friend delights in purchasing select Orchids from Trader Joe’s and striving to maintain them for months on end. She claims 3 months as a good life span for a $13 plant.

Sgt (Join to see) ‘My’ tax man brings tired Orchids to his office where he has a loong window with a window sill wide enough for plants. He destresses by nourishing those old Orchids back to the blossoming stage.

That sounds like a bit of fun. I destress my plants in water by changing their water!

Sgt (Join to see) Mary Ann sets plants in the kitchen sink, really wets them and lets them drain for several hours. I dunno how she monitors the moisture - another female skill?

CPT (Join to see) that was GREAT INFO on the best air-purifying plants! My friend the non-demanding philodendron is there plus English Ivy which I think, is also easy to care for. Sweeeeet.
