How long does it usually take to get a welcome letter from New unit. I already received assignment email just wondering when I will receive an email with welcome letter so I know what unit im going to and can rwach out for a sponsor. Thanks in advance

In my over 20 years I received maybe 2 welcome letters and only one was before I actually arrived.

When I went to Ft. Stewart, I got it when I signed in from leave. When I went to Germany, I got it about a month in advance. Good luck with your PCS.

I've never received one for the 21 years of service. Sorry, can't help you there, Bud. Good luck with that.
How about going on the base website and look it up. That's what my wife likes to do. You will not likely get assign to the actual unit. So, no sponsor. If you have a pinpoint assignment, you may call their CSM and as for one. That would show that you eager to be there, but a little demanding.
