My Father, "NY Times" Special Obituary, P. 23, Col 3, 3 Jan 1964...
(He was in the hospital for about six weeks. Interestingly, my mother told me that he had had a round-the-clock soldier watch in the room with him the whole time, ostensibly a "Medic"...one wonders, for former Secretary of State Dean Rusk had once stated that "No American knew more about Russia than "Otto"...". It would seem that national security concerns could have been at stake here. My father is in "Who's Who in America", 1962 and 1963 as well as in "Who Was Who in America", 1968.

My parents were both born and married in the month of August and both of them joined "The Great" Majority" in the month of January. Ironic...

SGT Mark Anderson your father was so, so, young, what an I tense career for him. It sounds as though he and your mother were soulmates. They were born in August and they went home in January; a true and purposeful love story.

You had a brilliant father and his son didn’t fall far from that tree. I have enjoyed your pictures from your childhood! Thank you for sharing!

I sincerely thank you, David! I DO try to vary my kinds of RP submissions to keep them (hopefully) interesting. As for me, sometimes I feel that I can't even see the tree from which I fell! :)
