This article hits the bullseye.
It is necessary as leaders to stay humble, always remain teachable, and see the value in what every team member brings to the table for the team.
Take a little time out of your busy day to see what kinds of traits separate an average leader from a truly good one.
There is every reason for military leaders to take the same approach to complete the mission, all the while ensuring that their team members are taken care of to the highest standards. Take care of your team and your team will take care of you!
A closed-minded leader is asking for the failure of the mission. Everyone on the team brings something valuable to the team, from the lowliest private to the most seasoned NCO or Commissioned Officer.

And especially —-> a good sense of humor.

Excerpt from link: “If you can learn the humor of a people and really control it, you know that you are also in control of nearly everything else.”
