California is the largest auto market in the U.S., meaning its actions are likely to have an outsize impact on the auto industry. It would be the first ban on internal combustion engines within the U.S.

MSgt Dale Johnson - If they can get the costs down, then tech will proliferate quickly -- The appetite for EVs is there, just make it inexpensive and convenient to the masses

CSM Chuck Stafford - First we need the infrastructure to be able to support the charging of all these vehicles. We are nowhere near that yet.

But only a decade to completely phase out leaded gas engines.

Remember, we aren't replacing cars. We don't need new roads or new laws. We *will* need the infrastructure (primarily charging stations).

This will end up in front of the Supreme Court. You can't force people to buy an EV. Especially those who can't even afford the cost of an EV.

You just condemned 30% of your population CA. Most retirees cannot afford an EV, can't really afford a used gas powered vehicle either.

Wipe out another segment of heavy labor, constructionists, farmers, who depend on heavy diesel equipment and trucks - like the 250/2500 up though the 650/6500. EV trucks hauling a trailer have a max range of about 60 miles.
