I'm just sharing this photo and story to see if it will be "fact-checked." There are a couple of members on RP who "fact-check" everything I post if it disagrees with their ideological persuasion. I just want to see if they are performing a service to the RP community or simply attempting to destroy opposing political narratives...

A B-17 Flying Fortress, nicknamed "Squawkin' Hawk I," from the 100th BG, covered 47,720 combat miles without any injuries to its crew. The aircraft, proudly adorned with hundreds of autographs, is shown shortly before it departs from its 8th AAF base in England for retirement after completing 50 missions.
