I came close to being a Coastie, was a 2nd alternate to the Academy and they actually got down to me but I was already in college at football camp, so I passed.

Interesting, Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen. You must have done well on their exam. When I was at Columbus AFB, one of our church members son passed their test and he was headed there.
