Chris Kyle a coward?!!!

if he is, then we all are. I'll be dammed if any of us are. The bandwagon of liberals calling Kyle a coward seems to be growing. Most of us may not be as heroic as him, but classifying him or any of us as cowards are fighting words!!

I just want to know what's wrong with these ungrateful idiots!!

I think liberals can't or won't face realization that we active, guard, reserve, separated, and retired military see the world in its truthful horrific glory but they want to wallow in the freedom we unselflessly defend. They would rather try to treat an amputation with a bandaid over carterization that is more effective. Sorry but we know not everyone needs a hug and that some people need a punch in the throat.

MSG Scott McBride, I agree that people can be too sensitive, but advocating for the death of your fellow citizens based on their opinions is not a sensitivity issue, it is a morally unjustifiable issue. Your refusal to back away from an implicitly threatening comment or dismiss it as an exaggeration on your point indicates a violation of RP guidelines, specifically 10-3d. Comments like this will be removed.

Ok, do whatever you must, be sure to clean up the numerous comments from our RP team mates discussing the killing of ISIS as well.

MSG Scott McBride If you truly can't parse the difference between an organization that saws the heads off of our fellow citizens for no reason except that they are non-believers and posts videos of those acts to youtube, and fellow citizens who idiotically mouth-off in a way that none of us like about brother in arms we all believe deserves respect, then I'll try to help explain it. But I suspect you're making a false equivalency on purpose. To simplify: advocating for the killing of people who have demonstrated an active threat to our constitution, and to our people is in keeping with RP guidelines. Advocating for the killing of fellow citizens for their admittedly foolish-but protected- opinions is not.

MSG Scott McBride I'm not asking you to care what I think, I'm charging you to comply with rules you have already agreed to follow. Keep it professional and we'll have no issues. Have a nice day as well, sincerely.

You can be a coward for living. You can be a coward for dying You can be a coward for killing or for not killing. It depends on how people see where you come from. I reserve judgement until I get to know more. After all who Am I to judge?

It's just a talking point. When Ventura won that lawsuit it proved he lied. And if he'd lie about that...well? It's anyone's guess. It's just a movie that polarizes people. The book didn't seem to bother anyone. They didn't know his story until the movie. Now it's all "news" for some reason. It's just bandwagon jumpers trying to be relevant. Unlike Hurt Locker, Lone Survivor and even Zero Dark Thirty this movie portrays war as attractive. Because he's a sniper he's removed from the battles, the blood and guts so speak and the movie for reason makes him look comfortable; on the phone, sitting in living rooms...often appearing well hidden and never in an real danger (until the climatic end scene) The movie does this...it desensitizes the audience and circumvents their connection to the main character. Unfortunately, we never really get into Kyles emotions. Bad scripting if you ask me and I think Oliver Stone would have done a better job directing. As I said the book didn't bother anyone. It's propaganda and people jump on sides. I don't think the movie critics or Kyle critics have any ill sentiments toward us.

MSgt Michelle Mondia I think the book didn't bother people because less people read than watch movies.

Exactly...Because a book requires a different thought process. The movie was the high fructose corn syrup version, which is why there was such an intense reaction. It was made for easy fast consumption. It takes Kyles whole experience through the drive-thru.

Anyone who calls, Chris Kylse (or anyone who has served Honorably) a coward is clueless to what American Soldiers do! I'm proud of my service and my country! If Patriotism is wrong then I don't want to be right! What has become of our country when good/GREAT men are called cowards?

I'll reiterate what I said on a similar post:

I'd say this does an interesting job of highlighting the public's discomfort of what they pay us to do. They want us to protect without killing somehow. But you are correct Cpl Ricky Wright Marines (and other members of the Armed Services) are killers (of the enemies to the United States Constitution). It's what we do.

Chris Kyle was no coward, he had a mission and a goal and just because he did it better than everyone else people get jealous. Just because they can't be like him, they will put him down. Soldiers, who are TRUE soldiers, know he was one of a kind.

We are All one of a kind. Right now, you have made me focus on what we learn and what we teach. Eisenhower learned and taught a lot from the Bonus Army March to the "Military-Industrial-Congressinal Complex". Gen. Smedley Butler learned and taught a lot from his awarding of two CMH to his book, "War is a Racket". I wonder what Kyle would have turned-out if he was still alive to see his film?
