Chris Kyle a coward?!!!

if he is, then we all are. I'll be dammed if any of us are. The bandwagon of liberals calling Kyle a coward seems to be growing. Most of us may not be as heroic as him, but classifying him or any of us as cowards are fighting words!!

I just want to know what's wrong with these ungrateful idiots!!

The public wants protection. They want to feel safe from those that wait outside their doors to do harm. They want protection, but they don't want to know how that protection is provided. They don't want to know the cost of that protection. They're not prepared for it. They'd rather live their lives oblivious. It's the same with "Support our Troops." The public support the troops, but they'd rather not have to think about them. It's easier to not care.

Think of it like going to a restaurant, and you see those obnoxious customers that want food but complain about quality or how it was provided.

People are always going to criticize the service you give them. They're the first to speak up and shout but are the last to do anything. When you shine the light on them for their time to act, the shouting stops and silence begins.

I am reminded of Col. Jessup from "A Few Good Men". People from all sides are frustrated with the violence. Many have been and are still being arrested for acts of "nonviolence". They wish to create change in policies they do not agree with with.

'For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
An' Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool -- you bet that Tommy sees!'

Kipling sums it up aptly

We stand at the door... we guard the gates. We stop the things they fear from getting to them, and as I learned a long time ago, anything given to another without cost, is often thought little of and casually tossed aside.

They ( those that we do what we do, for) have no concept of what its like outside this big protected homeland. They see the news, they are horrified by OUR brutality, by the way WE kill others to achieve safety and security for them, but there are always those that mutter, "We didn't ask them to do this... they are so much better trained, so much better equipped... its just so... so cowardly to kill when they have all this great gear to protect them!"

Not a one of them will ever know the cost of pulling the trigger on a sniper rifle. They will mutter in horror as they drink their Latte's and check out their newest tweets on the Kardashians, telling each other how we are nothing like them...

A month... six months... maybe a year or two from now, someone horrible will happen that will pull their heads upward and make them stop texting for a heartbeat or two, and then we'll suddenly be heros all over again. Its just an old, old song, that's been happening since one human picked up a rock and threw it at another one. They are half afraid of us, because we do what they won't, or can't do for themselves, and then when we do these things to keep this country safe, they love us... for all of ten minutes before there's a sale at the mall, or another 'REALITY' show comes on.

Its life... and apparently, its our reality as well. Chris Kyle was a stronger man than any I have met... t o hold it together doing a job like that for all of us... is simply amazing. If some fool calls him a coward, that is their problem, not his, because we know the true worth of that man.

It's outright despicable to trash talk a person that has died. But here's the key, people that do this have no moral compass, their character is severely flawed and can't reconcile any degree of appreciation for the men and women of the military that has protected them and provided them with the very freedom they enjoy.

Chris Kyle is a hero in my book. He did his job to the best of his ability and exceeded that. He saved many Marines lives in the performance of his duties. Even when he came home he was still willing to help veterans, matter of fact he gave his life doing just that.

I'm a liberal, and labeling this American patriot a coward is NOT an official liberal position or one shared by all liberals. I realize the military is primarily Conservative, but I'm concerned that stupid or lamebrain idea is blamed on my political affiliation.
I firmly believe Chris Kyle is an American hero that saved countless American lives and performed exceptionally in extraordinary circumstances.
What's wrong with the idiots? In my opinion, a sniper is a combat multiplier. Unfortunately, the ones making these foolish statements don't what a combat multiplier is, haven't been to combat, and haven't faced the realities of war. Most of them haven't suited up as a troop, they're basing their opinion on Hollywood productions instead of real combat situations

SFC Jackson ,
Do you not understand that being a Democrat has NOTHING TO DO WITH LIBERALS!
Just because you are a Democrat does NOT MAKE YOU A LIBERALS.
There really is a group who refer to themselves as progressive liberals. And they are the ones on the attack of all veterans They butt kiss us one minute then attack us the next ,
These liberals have infested the Democrat party. And just invade you did not know
The democrat party today is not in anyway shape or form the Democrat party of Presidents Kennedy or Johnson and not even close to that of Dr King
Liberals are traitors. Liberals are devoted to killing our constitution. Why do you think they constantly try to change our rights
You don't see anyone else trying to do this. Only liberals in your democrat party

SGT Tom Vaughn, no need to hide behind wordplay. we both that "liberal" is used to take aim at the Democratic position just like "conservatives" is used to describe Republicans.

Honk Honk! That's my horn about to honk! Experience has taught me clearly. A political stance/supporter of ??? has no place in the ranks of ones sworn duties, max. performance, discipline or any degree of strategic, intelligence or abilities of military personal. The only obligation is the Oath you took at the onset, obey to the best of your abilities the UCMJ, your Commander in Chief, your chain of command right down to you , period. One thing for certain, one who thinks or acts iaw the stated values, ideals and decisions for action with a mindset of a personal Liberal thinker as referred to ( broad, large-minded, liberal, tolerant showing or characterized by self centered broad-mindedness). Has the tendency to ("believe or sense he knows what is best or more effective regardless of his leaders orders), These self inflected presumptions is the mother of all FUs. Such an attitude has resulted in the persons own demise, chaos, and mass casualties.

SMSgt Minister Gerald A. Thomas There is no liberal media. There is no conservative media. There is simply very large companies who have learned to sell a product. They sell commercials, not news.

The media is being used to push a Progressive Agenda on America. If you can't see that, you're not looking very hard.

Some people aren't interested in truth. They choose only the talking heads that agree with their point of view. Some have even convinced themselves that opinions are facts. They will point to sources like snopes, whos' publishers are left-wing hacks or wikipedia, which can be edited by anyone with a computer and an account. They will go so far as to deny the existence of opposing peer reviews because it doesn't fit their own personal opinion. Some people refuse critical and/or objective thinking and it's a sign that things will get worse, because they are "mentors" to younger generations.

I have to give credit where credit is due! Thanks SSgt John S., but are you sure that that information is allowed outside of a gaggle of Ds? The non-Ds might get a case of the "I've been sayin' that for years"-itis.

Are the ones talking about cowardice the same ones who fled to Canada during the 60's and 70's?

Then allowed amnesty (a warrant granting release from punishment for an offense of treason, desertion. )125,000 Americans fled to Canada in the 1960s and '70s to avoid the Vietnam War military draft, according to the American Veterans of Foreign Wars. WERE free to return to the United States when then Democratic President Carter granted them amnesty in 1977, with the unified support of the democratic party.

IMO Determining or accusing a fellow service member of being a coward is totally relative to the opinion / thinking of the accuser. In my experiences, can not ever recall any fellow, or associate to actually be a coward, maybe their actions or words did not agree or comply with what I or someone else's reasoning or decisions, had to consider the situation, present state of mind of the person, and their actual comments or actions. A true coward, as most define, can be found in society every day in public medias. A coward is much like a dog, wolf or other pack animal, standing alone they are meek, mild, reasonably shy and withdrawn, non confrontational, then with the pack or a number of like species there to egg him on or support, all the sudden they are loud, aggressive and full of piss and vinegar, as long as the pack is behind him. .

How many of those saying that have ever served in the military? My guess, probably none of them. That's all you need to know.
