How does anyone NOT pass the APFT?
I had knee surgery 3 months ago and have basically been a slug for the last 90 days. I've done no exercise other than routine daily activity. I decided to give myself a diagnostic this morning to see how badly out of shape I have gotten and was able to do enough that I would have scored at least a 200 on an APFT. How anyone manages to not pass the APFT amazes me.

Well sir all I can say is, in 2005 I was called up from the Reserves and sent to Ft. Jackson as Cadre, my counterpart another SSG was active duty, I was there for almost 2 years and I never saw him take a PT test, he always should up to the formation on crutches etc with a temp profile, he finally retired about a month before my orders ended.

Not everyone heals the same or recovers the same from injuries. Also it depends on someone's injury and how serious it was or not. Some people's bodies just break down. Other people can stay in shape for years. Everyone is different.
It's easy to judge someone when you don't know their story.
I won't lie - I failed an APFT on my second deployment and I barely failed the run because I was lazy. I went on ADVON and I didn't work out before everyone got there. I was stupid. I messed up. I learned. I worked out and I passed the next one.
Sometimes people are lazy...sometimes not.
