Promotion?
I have a solider that was promoted to PFC in 01Aug2020. On 02Aug2020 he was promoted to SPC. He didn’t start receiving E-4 pay till December.
Today our section sergeant and commander reduced him back to PFC there was no 4187 or any paper other paper work but a pay inquiry. Next month is his 18 month mark?

This is why, as a commander, some things need to be read through completely before you sign it. This is why I always read and reread things that involved actions for or against soldiers before I signed it.

You did right by wondering what was up with your Solider. Go ask your Platoon Sergeant or 1st Sergeant. You may come back angry at your joe because he forgot to mention something to you. Privates not telling the whole story I have never heard that.

Couple of things with what you wrong. You state he was promoted to PFC 01 August 2020. That then would start his TIG clock rolling towards E-4 but yet you claim he was promoted to E-4 the day after he was promoted to E-3?
Who promoted him from E-3 to E-4 and based on what authority and where are the orders that it was based upon. Promotions do not just occur without orders and I am taking that this occurred as normal in front of the company etc. Where is his documentation. There had to be documentation for his pay to even be emended from E-3 to E-4. They do not just up and approve a pay rate based on a phone conversation. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork.

CPL (Join to see) - Right but that does not mean much of anything as those are keystrokes. Where are the orders that mandate the promotion? There has to be orders posted. Orders drafted which command that this SM is promoted to this rank effective this date etc. And outside of that he lacks the TIG to even be promoted to E-4 outside of a special event by the commander and as he is the one demoting him... he would have remembered doing it, if he had.
