Split Option 11B AIT- What to expect?

Graduated Basic Training a year ago, and returning for Infantry AIT soon. What is there to expect? Read on other discussion threads that some STO-2s are sometimes sent back to do Basic Training as Day 1 Restarts, so clarification on that would be appreciated. Currently can pass my PT test for reference.

I'm in ait right now, all the prior service had to start with us in day 1 basic training, but it wont be as bad you will get more privileges than the trainees, like you'll get your phone and you get passes from the start(that might get screwed because of Corona virus shit). Hopefully your company is on the 14 week cycle instead of this 22 week thing

So I went through this same process in 2014 and 2015

You are supposed to go back to 30th AG. with us they asked who are STO 2’s and 1’s.

You will stay in reception for 2 weeks....again
Your supposed to be in a class of only sto2’s during summer surge but it may possible you will be put in a OSUT class for black and gold phase

Are STO-2s allowed to bring non-issued boots bought during Basic as a STO-1?

It's based on your training company chain of command and what they decide. For returning Soldiers those that are Prior Service at least, it depends on the assessment done on the physical fitness as well as if their weapons qualification is not overly stale with elapsed time. I have no idea how they evaluate Split Options but my guess is it is probably similar. So your best answer is to ask or find out when you get there as I don't think anyone here can guess with any certainty, especially with the screwed up educational terms we have now due to COVID-19. They have to work around that as well now and find you a training slot that conforms with your enlistment time. The good news on your part is your National Guard 11B which means they are highly unlikely to start you again at day 1 because your state probably does not have the budget for that. But the assumption there is the National Guard Bureau has not worked out some kind of deal to get around state budgets for COVID-19. Another bit of good news for you is being NG is your probably being sent as 11B vs 11X so that is what you will graduate as vs them picking for you..........as would happen with a Regular Army contract.
