The Louisiana Purchase- someone thought it was gonna be huuugggeee, births of Twain and Churchill, couple deaths, few WWII items, Sadat trial, and a few other trinkets of history sprinkled into this Wednesday. Enjoy everyone.

Thanks for sharing some of the significant events as far as msn.com is concerned which occurred on November 30 Maj Marty Hogan. What seemed most significant to me are:
1, 1803: THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE TREATY: "Spain completes the process of ceding Louisiana to France, which had sold it to the United States." Cheap land - Louisiana Purchase and Seward's Folly purchase of Alaska were two wonderful long-term real-estate bargains.
2. 1939: USSR INVADES FINLAND, BOMBS HELSINKI:"The Winter War begins as Soviet troops invade Finland. (The conflict ends the following March with a Soviet victory)." Those of us familiar with history are well aware of the winter war where Russia unsuccessfully tried to take over Finland beginning in 1939.
