Nope. No clue, Cayle. I'm not really a shotgun guy though. Looks like a bit of rough machining on the barrel lock. Not high end I don't think.

I don't know what it cost new, but I suspect you are right.
It's a Winchester model 37, 12 Ga, single shot, break action. Manufactured from 1936 to 1963
