SGT Mary G. this is an awesome deep dive. I have it saved so I can absorb the information. And I am sending this to my science nerd and techie tech son.

SGT Mary G. I raised my son to hear the ones with no voice, do not just see with his eyes but to look with his eyes, and believe the impossible is possible.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard - It's a blessing for children to be raised by well educated/well read parents. Our exposure was to Dad's uncle who was both and we (extended family - all the cousins) loved to have him visit and talk to us.

SGT Mary G. when I was unexpectedly pregnant and elder woman told me my life was over because every decision I made would be for two people. Being a better me then became a family matter, fun, games, recklessness, all of it was over. Thank you. My hope is a family member will put the children first and ask me for help, for their sakes.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard - The fun and games with kids, even monitoring recklessness, is a lot more fun and productive than grown up "fun and games", imo! Life has more meaning with children in it, and more work too. I do think it is a luxury to be prepared and ready to decide to have and afford to raise children. It used to be that people got married when they both were ready to start a family together.
That has not necessarily seemed to be the driving force for marriage for many decades. One of my friends has two boys. The oldest and his wife did not ever want to bring children into the world and didn't. They have been married over 20 years. The younger son has a daughter and has been divorced twice - married originally because of an unexpected child on the way. Several of the young women in basic training were young mothers, some single, some married. They had to leave their children during training. It would have been much more difficult for them if almost every minute for us all had not been planned. Everyone slept well! My buddy in Basic was from V.I. and left a seven year old daughter at home. I often wonder about the people I served with, and wish them well - all good people.

I'm certainly not expert but I honestly don't see AI as being much different from the scares we saw when robots took over manufacturing, or computers eliminated many white collar jobs.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Hope so. I'm really hoping the novelty wears off . . . it trends in the public after most of the stuff has been happening for a while.
