Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the November 7th edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "A Total Lunar Eclipse Over Tajikistan." This video clip was shot during the June 2011 lunar eclipse. The light you see as the video starts is not the Sun...its the light of the Full Moon. As the eclipse progresses, the stars begin to jump out one by one. At totality (about 15 seconds in), the full panoply of the Milky Way emerges into full focus.
What's the line between art and science? Hard to say, as the astrophotographer certainly used a bit of both to produce today's APOD. Here's hoping for your skies to be clear tomorrow morning.

Don't know what to say, SFC David Reid, M.S, PHR, SHRM-CP, DTM...the APOD page comes up for me. Scroll down a little bit and see if you find the "Play" button on the lower left corner of the video frame of today's APOD page.
