Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the November 28th edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "Leonid Meteors Through Orion." This composite image comes to us from Hainan, China, and was taken earlier this month during the peak of the annual Leonid Meteor Shower. You can see the constellations (from left to right) Sirius, Orion, and Taurus (follow the line Orion's belt up to the Pleaides). The bright red object overhead is the planet Mars. Mouse over the image on the APOD site to see the other annotations.

I have only caught it once Maj William W. 'Bill' Price Every other time I've been in the wrong place or the weather hasn't cooperated
