Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the September 3rd edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). Our Moon and The Pleiades rise together once a month, and the last time it happened nine days ago Alan Dyer (The World at Night, or TWAN) had his camera ready. This composite image from Alberta, Canada is made up of eight consecutive exposures with brightness adjusted to match what the human eye would normally see. Cheers.

Lt Col Charlie Brown Look closely, and you can see the "dark side" illuminated by Earthshine.
