Good Red Friday morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the September 20th edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). The first written record of the Spiš Castle (in Slovakia) dates to 1120, some 904 Harvest Moons ago. The castle is situated above the town of Spišské Podhradie and the village of Žehra, in the eastern Slovak region that gives the castle its name. This composite image (exposures taken September 17-18) traces the path of the full moon across the sky where it fades into the morning twilight that heralds the start of the next day. Cheers.
