Stuns?! Sounds like too many scientists believe they know it all. It used to be EXCITING to make a discovery that contradicted what we thought we knew.

Since it is a gas giant, maybe a binary star that failed to ignite?

Very interesting 827 degrees and a planet year every 2.5 earth days may be a bit much though. lol
