The Chapter 36 program allows veterans and their spouses to receive career and college counseling within 6 months of discharge. Has anybody here used this benefit or known someone who did? More info is at https://www.va.gov/careers-employment/education-and-career-counseling/

Thanks. It is crazy that there is this benefit yet I cannot find anyone that has ever used it.

There appear to be discrepancies in the eligibility criteria. This Fact sheet says
Transitioning Servicemembers within six months prior to discharge from active duty • Veterans within one year after discharge from active duty • Any Servicemember or Veteran eligible for a VA education benefit • All current VA education benefit recipients
