It seems like there was fighting going on between the Proud Boys and antifa that escalated.
I really have no sympathy for the adults in this "prayer group" if they're following a "pastor" who is homophobic, anti-pro choice and calls the police "Nazis" if they enforce mask mandates. So I'm not really surprised the police did nothing in this case, even if it wasn't Portland.
The headline of the other article posted- "persecuted" Christian pastor? LOL no. He is not "persecuted."
I do feel sorry for the children who got dragged there. They are the only innocent ones in this situation.
No one wants to completely "defund" or get rid of the police. There is nothing wrong with wanting to reform the law enforcement system along with the criminal justice system as they are completely broken. Did you miss the part where even in this headline it says the Proud Boys were there who also instigated violence? Or are you gonna ignore that because you agree with them?

MSgt (Join to see) - Defund the police doesn't mean get rid of the cops or take all their money away. It just doesn't. All people want is some accountability within law enforcement since they run around thinking that badge gives them the power to do anything they want. A lot of of precincts have bloated budgets - and the increase in budgets over the years has NOT reduced crime or violence.
I am not a Democrat. I don't believe in or follow political parties which is why I register as Independent. I think political parties are stupid. And pointless.
