Anyone use music therapy or play instrument for calming?

I don't play any instruments which is ironic as my father was a band leader, minister of music, and could play any instrument made by man...and now he is play those instruments in heaven. It wasn't important to me as a kid or young man but now I wish I had learned to play one and been decent at it. I do sing and love to do that and I listen to various types of music dependent of whatever mood I am in...always therapeutic. Music can soothe a savage beast!!! That is a beautiful flute and I bet it will make sweet music for you to enjoy.

The is a great documentary on that. They went into nursing homes and used music to help elders it was very touching.
