Yeah, Sometimes it seems like the Military.com writers don't know squat about the military they report on.

LTC (Join to see) - Yes, I believe so. I don't get out to Bliss, so next time you're in the 5-sided puzzle-palace, give me a shout...

LTC Stephen B. - Will do, although I try to avoid that place like the plague! Although, if I can swing it this year, I'll be there for the ATM so I'll pay up then...along with a beer, just for the hell of it!

LTC Stephen B. - "...keeps a close eye on..." I'm starting to believe that phrase is just code for "Doesn't know shit about". You hear it every time some asshole blows something up or shoots a bunch of people in the name of Islam (or probably any religion). "The FBI reports they were aware of [so and so] and had been "keeping an eye" on him. BULLSHIT!!

Yeah, I read his 'qualifications' before I posted the first time. Even less of a excuse for the goofy article.

"Our military men and women are highly trained in combat and how to use weapons; requiring them to get a license to carry a handgun is redundant"

Seems common sense. The Military.com story trying to create linkage between OK granting their citizens a right to CC without a license and military base policy is just asinine.

You should still have to attend a CHL class. Just because someone is active duty doesn't mean they know jack shit about local laws or how to properly carry a firearm. Just to be fair; what criteria are they using to justify a generalized statement about military men and women (and gender-non-binaries, gender-fluids, and gender-fucked-up-in-their-heads) and their knowledge of weapons? What about retirees? Just because you get out doesn't mean you're instantly retarded in terms of firearms.
I think the military overall may have more knowledge and training than the vast majority of society but only marginally so and only a small percentage of the military is "well trained".

LTC (Join to see) - We also had our share of events where we would request a Soldier to voluntarily turn over their firearms to the arms room due to an event. Sometimes it would be due to a domestic issue but most were due to the medication(s) the Soldier was prescribed and turned the Soldier into a Zombie. I guess we saw it more as a precautionary measure.

LTC (Join to see) I understand the precaution but this right here is expecting why there should NEVER be a gun registry of any kind. The military however, likes to play by its own rules.
