How hard is it to volunteer for a combat zone deployment?

I am hoping to be able to volunteer this summer for a combat zone deployment next year, I was not able to access MOBCOP, but what is the process like? Does anyone have any experience and advice?

Look on dod.pfi.mil
It can be accessed from a personal computer and many of the mobilizations are not MOS Specific.
As an 11B it's going to be tough because most mobilizations will be with the guard and they will usually fill from their own state first.

:D but it's not reliable as to where - Winter Over in the Antarctica is still an option with it.

Make an account in milsuite. Should see the available openings to take on a WIAS Tasker. Good luck. Get with somebody who has done one and have them walk you through the process.
