This time of year the mice want to get in where it's warm, so I always put out two or three glue traps. Usually I get nothing, but sometimes I do. Last year I nabbed the most terrible thing one can catch in a glue trap: my wife's Yorkie.
There was yipping and howling and thrashing about, and then there was the commotion the dog was making, too. I was much more careful this year concerning placement considerations.

I call her "Gerbil" half the time. She always sleeps leaning against me at night, much to my wife's dismay.
