Thanks for sharing COL Mikel J. Burroughs on behalf of SGT Richard H.
Hopefully this march on Capitols and Cities across the nation, simultaneously, on May 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM PST to show solidarity will be both peaceful and enthusiastically supported.

SGT Richard H. - Just google it, there's a good one from the department of labor.
Also, I can talk by personal experience.
I have a masters degree, 31 years experience in my field, 20 years working for the company I work for and still make 20% less than my friend, with same job title, same experience and less education, he doesn't have a masters degree.
So, yes, the gender gap when it comes to pay, is real. I know in the military it's different, your rank determines your pay, but that's not the case in the private sector.

Out of curiosity, if you are on this site and it shows you as a civilian does that mean that you are on the GS pay scale? If so do you make less than a male on the same pay scale with the same number of years?

Claudia Silva - Bottom line: My comment went to the point that this is an assembly of Military people to bring awareness to MILITARY people issues and NOT a protest. Yes, I did refer to things that I've seen in recent demonstrations that I feel were counterproductive to those demonstrations and I mentioned that fact. If you feel that "genitalia hats" were somehow productive to the purpose of that demonstration or that burning trash cans and breaking windows somehow sent any other message than "we are an angry mob with no real message, but we're still pissed", then we will just have to agree to disagree and move on. This thread is about a Military march to bring Military issues back to the front page. If you'd like to discuss women's rights. I'm happy to do that. I have a wife and daughter whose rights are important to me, but my request would be that you start another thread for that.

Colorado Springs? Not Denver (the capital)? Yea, the major military presence is in Colo Spgs. So I guess that makes sense. So far, that day is open for me.

Denver is not off the table either. We're announcing cities as we find people willing to run them. We hope to have at least one city in every state on the works by 1 April.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs I thank you for your support, Sir. This project means a lot to me and the 200 or so volunteers that myself and Jason have gathered so far. We hope for this to be the tailgate party and only a stepping stone to the Super Bowl. We have a great deal more plans in store and plan to go even bigger next year.

SSG Terry Clay - If 20% of the Veterans in a city will march the local media will cover the march and maybe even some national coverage. If one more person is made aware its a success.

SSG Terry Clay - Great question. We fully expect to draw attention from both our government and media sources. Once this is achieved, the impact will expand our abilities for affecting the change we seek. We are already planning our expansions to Legislation, fundraising, maybe forming a foundation, and direct action when those items fall within our means. We don’t just want to raise awareness. You're right - everyone already knows. We want to never let them forget and then actually make a positive and lasting effect on all those statistics we’re all so familiar with.

SGT Richard H. - Thank you, SGT Hanner. I've not the time to be organizational at the local level due to my civil service obligations here. Will you keep me updated on march coordination in the Nashville, Tennessee area, please?

SSG Terry Clay - It looks like we are moving the Nashville and Knoxville marches both to Crossville. Long story short, we're finding that some larger cities are giving some pushback due to traffic concerns, and Crossville welcomed us with open arms, even going so far as to offer up a Mayoral proclamation of a "Veterans Issues Awareness Day"
