In a genuinely free market, success hinges on value creation. This isn't about philanthropy but identifying unmet needs and crafting solutions. Every thriving business fills a market gap, offering something that demonstrably improves people's lives. This value can take many forms, from a superior cup of coffee that invigorates the weary professional to a tax service that navigates the labyrinthine regulations, allowing individuals to retain more of their hard-earned income. Regardless of the target audience, the principle remains constant: the greater the value you create for others, the more your enterprise flourishes. It's a beautiful symbiosis – you provide a solution and, in turn, reap the rewards of a prosperous business. This is the fundamental engine that drives a free market.

Free market does not guarantee quality of products or services. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair exposed how some business oligarchs took unethical shortcuts. Government intervened to ensure food and other necessities did not sicken people.

The Jungle | Summary, Characters, & Facts
The Jungle is a novel by Upton Sinclair, published serially in 1905 and as a book in 1906. An exposé of the American meatpacking industry and the horrors endured by immigrant workers generated public outrage resulting in passage of federal legislation that improved food quality and working conditions.

You think The Jungle was an exposé? Conditions were nothing like what that book made them out to be.
