Anyone have any insight on why someone would be denied entry if they caught the COVID virus? Its seems odd to me that they would do this, unless they are worried that someone will have permanent lung damage.

Paranoia and fear. The data out to make these kinds of decisions is extremely limited and largely not-peer reviewed.

I believe it's regarding health complications post-recovery. The damage isn't limited to the respiratory system. The disease attacks all the major organs to greater or lesser degrees.

MAJ Byron Oyler I think I phrased it incorrectly. The virus can cause the body's immune system to kick into overdrive. This causes the immune system to attack the body's own organs. This is the reason doctors are seeing an increase in liver and kidney failure in patients attached to respirators. Some young patients are suffering from Kawasaki (sp?) Syndrome as well.

I work at Amazon and am trying to get back in. I was sweating the whole "test positive once and you're screwed permanently" criteria. This makes more sense.
