I got my first tomato of the season last night, grabbed some lettuce from the garden and used it on a burger.

Can't beat the freshness from your own garden, picked the same day. My avocados are flowering, the trees are all revovering from a typhoon last year. A picture of whats to come this year with my trees.

Looking good and glad they recovered from the typhoon. I'm planning on heat like last year where we had 72 days of 100 degree plus temps and 42 consecutive days straight of temps over 100 degrees with an average temp of 105 degrees. my soil temps were 105-115 degrees in the unprotected areas. Beach umbrellas are a key tool this year.

SGT (Join to see) - I know what you mean about it being so hot, here there are some that would put up a screen over their plants. I'm glad I have trees to shade other plants.

Well in my part of the woods if the tomatoes don't go in by Late February there won't be a harvest as June temps can raise the soil temp to 110-115 degrees causing blooms to drop.
