Pickett's Charge

Seems to me that Pickett's Charge was similar to the "Charge of the Light Brigade." Yes the Confederates had the numbers to overwhelm, however their charge was into Cannon fire and open field for all of the Union Troops to fire in relative safety of the ridge. Not a well thought out plan IMHO.

Believe this may be mentioned in the old military leadership manuals you got when you were promoted to NCO brother SGT (Join to see)
