Please share GC # and why it was your favorite. If I had to choose one it would be GC334ZA One Busy Day On The E.T. Highway Challenge. http://coord.info/GC334ZA If you have NOT cached the ET Highway, you need to put it on your caching bucket list!! This challenge is to find six different cache types in one day within 100 miles of this one. The scenery on the ET is AMAZING!!

I am number 85 to complete, it was a long 6 year journey, but worth it.

Do I have to pick just one? Looking through my favorites four strike me as the cream of the crop:

GC8356: Rabbit Bay Pirate Treasure
Finding this one was a several hour adventure with good friends. It is on an island so the find was combined with some great boating good times with buddies, and a deserted island for the final.

GC1D5YB: Jungle Bungalow
Number 1000 for me so it is a significant milestone. Also, the cache container is fantastic. I won't say more to avoid spoiling it for anyone else searching.

GC466D7 The lagoon - Tour D
An hour long kayak ride from Palawan island Philippines to a smaller island followed by a jungle trail to a secluded lagoon. One of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

GC7E7: Deer Flat (Milford, Southland)
An "old" cache, at a degree confluence. It required wading a river to get to and took two trips to make the find. I like a cache that is a challenge.

If I really had to, I guess I would say the first one in my list, GC8356, takes the number one slot for me.

Just found a new favorite on Sunday.
http://coord.info/GC39
"The Spot" The oldest and most favorited cache in New York.
Yep, cache number 39! First placed May 26, 2000.
And the original log book is still in it. You park off a gravel road at the top of the hill, take a walk across a clearing then into the woods. The entire trail is nice and well kept. At first it's a gently winding and dipping walk, then it gets interesting. At some points I'd estimate 45 degree slope.
Getting to the cache is fairly easy, 15-20 minutes tops. Then you have to go back up. Whew, took about an hour with the breathing breaks.

I have been told this one is worth the trip. I have found the oldest in each of the 6 New England states (and NV) so this should be my next oldie.

SGT Larry Prentice - Mine was #666. Somehow it made it that much more special. That's quite and oldest round up! This one is a great setting, not to be attempted in normal/bad winter weather though. You could easily die here if the trail was icy/snowy. One side of the trail is a "gentle" 45-60 degree slope in places, the other side, about 20-25' away, is pretty much a sheer drop of 50-200' in places.
Watch carefully if you bring young'ns or a geo-pup.

When I go, it will be with a group of other seasoned cachers!! If you are ever in NV, caching the ET, the oldest ( http://coord.info/GCF9 ) is mixed in amongst them and is quite nice to get to and the scenery is top notch. Also the 3rd oldest is not far away either http://coord.info/GC173. If you ever come to NH let me know and Ill give you a tour of some of our most favorited!!
