I too enjoy walking and hiking and I have invested a lot of time in it. I average roughly 5 miles a day and I find it to be a good way to multitask. I can listen to a book/music, carry on conversations with friends and family, complete professional training, and even listen in on work meetings where I know I don't need to take notes. Since the 2021 tragedy in Afghanistan, I even take it upon myself to hike 13 miles, annually at the end of August, in honor of the Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines who lost their lives facilitating our withdraw.
