When you just want to lay back in your easy chair this winter and it's too cold to go outside and don't really feel like doing anything else, close your eyes and let the sounds of nature take you to a peaceful place. I have this on an audio cassette I bought at an Eddie Bauer store back in the mid 1980's but have misplaced it. Goes to show you can find almost anything on the internet!

SIRIUS XM has a variety similar. I normally listen to "Escape"... all instrumental... no singing... what puts me to sleep.

Humankind has always been attracted to the soft, gentle sounds of water and also of fire. These attractions go waaaay back into prehistoric times. It just now make me wonder whether these also are attractions of other primates. . . .
