I'm deeply saddened to share that Leslie Maixner (Les), a devoted friend and champion of the homeless community, passed away this morning. As a Purple Heart recipient from Vietnam, Les embodied the spirit of selfless service and patriotism. Though he lived on a limited income and navigated challenges with mobility, Les remained steadfast in his commitment to helping others, inspiring countless individuals with his generosity and kindness. His legacy serves as a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of compassion can spark profound positive change. Les's unwavering dedication to empowering others is a testament to the transformative impact one person can have, and his memory will continue to inspire us to strive for a brighter, more compassionate world.
