Okay, for a minute forget that they are referencing abortion drugs right now and think about the overall reason for this. Is it not illegal to send any drugs into a state in which they are not legal. Like mailing marijuana to a customer in a state that it is not medically legal?

The issues with legalized abortion and the issue of legalized drugs are two very different things. This is not a special law to just go after abortion rights/meds; it is a federal law to protect a states legal rights of legalization of any and all drugs.
