Do you agree? Which is your favorite, and would you add to this list?
Most of the time I disagree with these, but this time, I can't really argue against any of the choices. I might add to it, like a Savage or Kimber, but these are all solid hunting rifle.

The Best Rifle depends as to what type of hunting we're talking about. But, the best rifle is the one that you acquired most proficiency with. For me? Is the Remington 700 SPS .308 Bolt Action with Fluted barrel with a Leopold VX-6HD 3-18x44mm.
Now, just as to an specified rifle/ weapon ammunition is most important as well. For a good example is that with this platform I use 7.62 mm boat tail hollow point, 150 grain Federal Ammunition. This will give you a constant hit based on what distant you're shooting. With this you can create a "Ballistic Data Card" which will also facilitate you to adjust your rifle scope as needed.
And last, but not least maintain your bolt chamber open along with any other ammo open to the environment will also provide you with a constant hit. (Carry a thermometer gun with your ammo) that way you can check on both the bolt chamber, and ammo can temperatures.

I have the Ruger American, but would gladly have any of the others in the list. However, as with nearly all things "best" related to firearms, I'm sure there are some who may disagree.
