A very good girl deploys on carrier Ford: Sage the therapy dog

I think it is an awesome thing to try. Dogs are great therapy. So are cats. In WWII they took cats withthem to kill rodents that came aboard the ship when in port. There are pictures of sailors holding the cats so there has to be some merit to it.
