That is unfortunate, but understandable. While I was stationed in England and Okinawa, my driver's license was valid based on my state and my Active Duty status...but yes, if a local officer were to see the expiration date, I'm sure it would have caused a momentary issue.

There are several states that allow for "automatic extensions" but the license shows expired and unless you call your record shows expired.
