Pentagon identifies five Americans killed in Black Hawk crash in Egypt

5 US Soldiers killed in the line of duty, when their helicopter crashed in Egypt. All Soldiers where serving with the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) Mission to observe the Treaty of Peace between Egypt and Israel. I was on this mission 2009-2010 as a part of the multinational contingent serving in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. The US Servicemembers have been identified as:
- Capt. Seth Vernon Vandekamp, 31, of Katy, Texas;
- Chief Warrant Officer 3 Dallas Gearld Garza, 34, of Fayetteville, N.C.;
- Chief Warrant Officer 2 Marwan Sameh Ghabour, 27, from Marlborough, Mass.;
- Staff Sgt. Kyle Robert McKee, 35, of Painesville, Ohio; and
- Sgt. Jeremy Cain Sherman, 23, from Watseka, Ill.
Two Foreigners were also killed in the line of duty: Czech Army Sgt. Michaela Ticha & a French Liason Officer- Lt. Col. Sebastien Botta.
Prayers for all lives lost in this tragic incident & the families.
