Medal of Honor recipient Hershel “Woody” Williams shares his memories of using a flame thrower on Iwo Jima during World War Two. There was nothing easy about any of the fighting the Marines did on Iwo Jima but what Corporal Williams accomplished during the fighting is simply incredible. He managed to destroy numerous Japanese positions and live to tell about it. He celebrated his 97th birthday on October 2, 2020, and is the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the Battle of Iwo Jima.
