If the military wanted to start tattooing Identification tags (dog tags) around service member’s necks and would be willing to pay for it would you be willing to allow that to be inked on you? What are the pros and the cons that would alter your decision?

I see your point here. A tattoo IS a permanent mark, one that is near impossible to get rid of. I think for the safety of the service member, it might be a bad idea.

Oh, so we're talking about placing a barcode on someone, that's very impersonal and is reminiscent of Nazi Concentration camps, Too Creepy. Again, as your body does not remain intact when around certain explosives, logistically would not be feasible. Giving your DNA is a better solution, but even that would degrade over the years
